Bright, Accessible, and Fully Project-Managed
After a major water leak, our client approached Blaines seeking a complete kitchen redesign. Their goal? A brighter, more functional space, designed around accessibility and modern living — and all handled by a team they could trust.
A Kitchen Designed Around the Client
The client loved deep indigo cabinetry but wanted a lighter feel which meant it was paired with chalk white accents and a crisp Stellar Blanco Silestone worktop. Smart under-unit lighting, controllable via smartphone, adds a bright, flexible glow — perfect for cooking or entertaining.
Full Home Upgrade
This project wasn’t just about cabinets. We installed large 600 x 600 floor tiles throughout the kitchen, utility, pantry, and conservatory. Walls were re-plastered where needed and painted in the client’s choice of Dulux paint, and new radiators were fitted, creating a warm, welcoming space from floor to ceiling.
Accessibility Meets Style
Functionality was key. Corner solutions and plenty of deep drawers reduce bending and make storage easier. The oven housings include heat-proof pull-out trays, which means that checking and basting dishes is safer and more convenient.
The sink was relocated under the window so that the client had a view of their lovely garden while washing up. A new filter tap ensures great-tasting water even in areas with hard water.
Modern Appliances, Smarter Layout
The kitchen features a large peninsula with a downdraft extractor that vents directly outside, keeping cooking smells under control. The fridge freezer has double doors, internal drawers, and a chilled water dispenser — designed for accessibility and convenience.
Fully Project-Managed for Peace of Mind
The client chose Blaines as we are able to manage the entire kitchen installation from start to finish. Our experienced project manager and designer keep clients updated every step of the way, ensuring the project runs smoothly and stress-free.
A Kitchen Ready for Daily Life and Festive Moments
What started as an insurance claim nightmare became a bright, accessible, and stylish Symphony Kitchen that the client can enjoy every day. From installing new heating to smart lighting and accessible storage, this project shows how careful design and professional project management can transform a home.
